Silvana Hernandez, Pavion CFO, Receives NVTC Private Company CFO of the Year Award
We are proud to announce that our very own Chief Financial Officer, Silvana Hernandez, has been honored with the prestigious Private Company CFO of the Year Award at the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC). This recognition is a testament to Silvi’s exceptional leadership, financial acumen, and contributions to Pavion’s success in the fire, security, and systems integration industry.
Members of our team attended the NVTC Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards on June 5. The Private Company CFO of the Year Award is a highly regarded accolade presented annually by the NVTC to recognize financial executives who have demonstrated exceptional skills and leadership in driving the growth and success of their companies. Silvi’s remarkable achievements and dedication to excellence have earned her this esteemed recognition.
Silvi Hernandez is a founding member of the leadership team responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of the transition of Corbett Technology Solutions, Inc. from a DC Metro regional firm to Pavion Corp. Silvi works directly with the Board of Directors and PE Firm Wind Point Partners to develop and implement the growth strategy which includes strategic acquisitions, synergy, and integration growth.
Since joining the business, Silvi has supported 15+ acquisitions, tripling the size of our business, while maintaining healthy organic growth and EBITDA profitability. Through the transformation and M&A, Silvi also provides financial leadership for the day-to-day finance functions, while building a new finance team structure and hiring industry-leading talent in FP&A, Treasury, Controllership, AR, AP, Payroll, and Tax.
Post-acquisition, Silvi and her team swiftly move the acquired entities into a post-acquisition integration process focused on global reporting consistency, ERP simplification, enterprise HRIS, and enterprise Payroll systems. Silvi worked with our CSIO, CHRO, and CEO to establish a centralized Shared Services organization with functions for accounting, HR, operations, compliance, marketing, and communications.
Silvi is a very hard worker, able to lead with vision and strategy, while also delving into the details of financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, while optimizing the resulting financial performance of our business. Silvi is forward-thinking and proactive, always trying to get ahead of the business challenges that she identifies early and addresses quickly to minimize impact to the business. Silvi is very analytical, proactive, and engaged at the board level and with the senior leadership team.
